A Gallery of Face Tales

Masked Narratives is a captivating project that seamlessly blends the realms of architecture, design, and storytelling. As a designer, I started experimenting with crafting one-of-a-kind face masks from diverse materials. Each mask becomes a tangible canvas, embodying a distinct narrative that unfolds through the artistry and craftsmanship invested in its creation.

I´m glad that I have collaborated with talented people, such as the photographer Julia Carretero, who added a layer of artistic interpretation to each face tale. Julia’s unique perspective  captures not just the physicality of the masks but also delves into the emotions and stories behind them. 

The fusion of architectural ingenuity and photographic artistry brings forth a collection that goes beyond mere functional accessories, transforming each mask into a visual narrative.

Among the notable projects within “Masked Narratives,” a standout achievement is the collaboration with Emilia Y Pablo for the music video “Alma Vieja.” This endeavor pushed the boundaries of mask design by creating two bespoke face masks that became integral elements of the video’s aesthetic. The masks, meticulously crafted for Emilia Y Pablo, seamlessly blended with the narrative of “Alma Vieja,” enhancing the visual experience and contributing to the overall artistic expression of the music piece.
