The concept is grounded in the examination of the distinctive clothing of the brand, considering both their form and materiality. The focal point of the design revolves around the visual and tactile aspects of the fabrics, with particular emphasis on the relief they create. This project is situated in a compact space in the heart of Athens, serving dual purposes as both a store and a showroom, occasionally hosting art installations.
A prominent yet delicate element within the space is a curved wall featuring rectangular glass elements, serving as a robust hanging rail system for the clothing. This structure, in conjunction with an adjacent wall, delineates the changing room at the rear and the window display at the front. On the opposite side, the wall is partially covered with a mirrored surface, while the remainder serves as a storage and display area featuring a corrugated cast surface. In the center, four elevating floating wooden pieces function as display furniture for glasses, sandals, and bags. A set of round stairs leads to support areas, including restrooms and storage space, while on the ground floor, a movable piece doubles as both a cover for the upper part of the stairs and a seating surface.
Complementing the store, a Pop-Up installation took place at the Bon Marche in Paris. The installation featured a lightweight metallic golden structure inspired by the traditional Greek sewing machine known as the “argalios.”
